want to tell us about your top three films or top three ships? (sending you good thoughts!)
aahhhh thank you anon. today has been really, really Rough(tm) so it’s nice to have good thoughts my way! <3
Okay so top three films. (God this is hard.)
1. Princess Mononoke. Ghibli movie that’s I guess about the clash between human progress and nature? Absolutely creeped me out when I first saw it when I was like 12-13, but I could not look away it was so good.
2. Titan A.E. Don Bluth animated film. SUPER underrated film. This caters to the exact sci-fi specifications I want. idk what else to say it’s so fantastic go watch it.
3. The Fifth Element. Also caters to my sci-fi specifications. I think this movie is kind of unhinged and I love it. I saw it when I was 10-11 and def had a crush on Bruce Willis at the time (dw I have grown lmao), but I totally wanted to be Leeloo. She was so badass.
I have memory issues so I will probably look back on this and be like “fuck no! I’ve changed my mind!!” lmao.
Honorable mentions include: The Matrix (!!!!), Flight of the Navigator, Mulan, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (I know I KNOW blease... i just love Darth Maul....), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (sexual metaphors lmao), Captain America: The Winter Soldier, It’s a Wonderful Life (we only watch it at xmas and I bawl every time), Spectral, Edge of Tomorrow, Treasure Planet, Pacific Rim. I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember atm XD some of these aren’t like top tier movies but I like them and have fun watching them.
For ships tbh I’m mostly a casual shipper. Supernatural is actually probably the one I have the most ships for? In that I will ship (almost) anyone with anyone lmao. I have always been a multishipper. However let me make you cringe with my OTP of OTPs:
Sam Winchester/Ben White.
Ben is my own OC (I know cringe) from the C/all of D/uty Mo/dern Wa/rfare 2 fandom and I used to roleplay him. My partner role played a Sam and that’s actually how we met. And like my partner wrote an extremely good Sam. They were meticulous about keeping him in character. And hooo boy the sparks between her Sam and Ben was WILD. Even funnier that I had picked Jared as my face claim for Ben before I’d seen Supernatural. (We had verses where they were twins it was awesome.) Actually made for a great first encounter with their season 7 Sam and him thinking he was hallucinating. Ben is hard and prickly and abused af and I love him sm (and projected way too much on him lmao). If you’re interested my partner wrote a series of fics on AO3 the Fight For All You Know verse. They know Ben almost as well as I do.
I’m sorry I just love them sm and Ben is so, so close to my heart and I rarely get to talk about him anymore and it makes me sad.
Thank you for letting me ramble ilu anon. <3
#anon#asks#me#i have other OCs for that fandom and i love them too#and one of my other fav ships is in that fandom#it's niche as hell#Anonymous

So I feel like Radcliffe is more of a mad scientist than straight up evil. He didn't want Aida to kill May but i think it's only b/c of Fitz. Everyone else is expendable to him. His plans clearly changed once the Darkhold came into play, but do you think he always planned to use the LMDs for personal gain, and just made up the "shield" thing to get Fitz on board? Also where do you stand on him possibly dying for Fitz to redeem himself down the line? Or any more Dadcliffe thoughts after this ep?
@unlessimwrongwhichyouknowimnot said: So, do you think it’s safe to assume that Radcliffe was “good” until he caught a glimpse of the Darkhold? Or has his plan always been to use Fitz/SHIELD for his own gain?
Anonymous said: So, do you think we can still hold on to hope that Radcliffe is one of the good guys, or do you think he’s too far gone in his quest for immortality? I mean, his primary motives were bad, as were his actions, but his secondary motives (protecting the team) were pure.
Anonymous said: So do we think Radcliffe has been manipulating Fitz since the beginning or was he changed by the Darkhold? Either way the thought of it is so upsetting. He’s using Fitz’s empathy and understanding for his own gain and i truly hope they figure it out soon. Maybe this can be Jemma’s woman on fire arc? I really don’t see Fitz seeking revenge but i can imagine Jemma will be furious.
Hi Everyone!
I combined all the Radcliffe asks into one! And I have been mulling this over all night. And we have to hand it to John Hannah, he made me like him, he made me believe him, and that made it hurt all that much worse.
Is Radcliffe straight up Evil?
His intentions certainly aren’t good but I don’t think he’s out to conquer the world kind of thing. But most villains don’t see what they are doing as a bad thing. They have “good intentions” and want to “help” people. We knew he was involved in some questionable stuff when they went after him last season. He was working in the Transhumanist community and then suddenly Shield and Hive come along and give his dreams a boost.
He has so far spared May, Coulson, and even Fitz. They all could have easily been killed in AIDA’s attacks and weren’t May he can dispose of the original at anytime because when she gets out…there will be hell to pay. Most would argue a truly evil person would have killed them all.
Right now, until we know the full extent of his plan, and what he’s done to achieve it, we really can’t call it.
Was the Darkhold the tipping point?
The interesting thing about the Darkhold is that the people we’ve seen it mess with the greatest degree are those that were looking for shortcuts. The people who had big ideas that could help/change the world but they didn’t necessarily want to do the work that it would require. The Bauers, Eli, and Radcliffe are the most recent.
With AIDA it did effect her, or Radcliffe said it did. It didn’t effect her like it did the others. I believe this is because her intentions were pure. She looked in that book wanting nothing more than to figure out how to get Fitz and the others back. She really was the perfect fit, the book didn’t corrupt her, Radcliffe did. Don’t be at all surprised if we don’t see Fitz try to figure out what went wrong, if we don’t see him doing an autopsy of sorts on her…and that is how he finds out it was Radcliffe all along.
Also with the Darkhold we’ve had a few discussions in what would happen if Fitzsimmons had to read it. There was the parallel with the Bauers and the hands drifting apart that was very powerful. We would easily get to a point where the only way to stop Radcliffe or even The Superior down the line is someone HAS to read the book and this time there is no AIDA to do it. Book of Doom vs 2 people with pure intentions.
So I don’t think the Darkhold did Radcliffe any favors in the diabolical plan department. Whatever he is shooting for has been his endgame all along..the Darkhold is providing him a means of getting there faster.
Does he really care about Fitz?
I could have dealt with Radcliffe being a baddie so much better if he hadn’t gone all surrogate father with Fitz on us. On some level, yes he is fond of Fitz (and Simmons and the rest of the team). As a person, he called him “My Boy,” but especially for his mind. He knows just how brilliant Fitz is and used it to his advantage big time. However, what he’s done with Fitz is so manipulative, he knew exactly what buttons to push with Fitz too, even bragged about it with AIDA 2.0. Fitz wouldn’t have gone for the digital immortality stuff but something to protect his friends, yeap he’s all over that. We discussed in 01 how AIDA walking out when Jemma wasn’t there didn’t seem like an accident.
I also think that on some level Radcliffe thinks he is doing this FOR Fitz to protect him (we all remember how well the last time someone hurt Fitz to protect him turned out), so that they don’t have to suffer the pain of another loss like Lincoln. Fitz’s feelings are essentially acceptable collateral damage in the process.
In the end he is fond of Fitz but HIS goals are the most important thing. If he saw the key to immortality in the book that means he wanted that more than getting Fitz back when he looked at it in 7. What will be interesting is how he proceeds with Fitz from here. If he continues to use him, get close to him, and what happens when Fitz finds out and Radcliffe still needs him to do something.
Has his plan always been to use Fitz/SHIELD for his own gain?
Radcliffe does what he needs to do to survive. He suddenly is showing a lot of Wards Characteristics in that he adapts very quickly to new situations and works them to his advantage.
But I feel part of his current plan was sent in motion the second he saw Fitz’s creations. Especially in the finale with Coulson’s hand and he realized Fitz could get him where he needed to go.
I don’t think he has any loyalty/love for Shield itself. They were merely a means to end for him. For example him working with them gave him access to Fitz and their resources.
Though his back story and HOW he came to get the plans for LMD’s could play a significant role in this.
Dadcliffe?
Dadcliffe is still very much in play because lets face it, one of the only things that can make this whole thing any worse is for him to now be bio dad too….and we know how the writers love the “It can’t get any worse options”.
Until Fitz finds out the truth…and he will find out in a truly awful way (I’ve got my money on him autopsying AIDA 1.0 and figuring out Radcliffe messed with her) Radcliffe will continue to have a surrogate father/mentor role for Fitz. Fitz is going to be a good surrogate son and be worried about/console him thinking he’s all broken up about his life’s work being lost.
No matter what Iain shall kill us with feels in the fall out.
Radcliffe having some good in him/getting redemption?
So far the only baddie we’ve seen get a good redemption is Cal. And Radcliffe does think he’s doing a good thing with all this. That when he succeeds everyone will get what they want.
For him to get redemption, show how much he really cares about Fitz, there will have to come a time where Radcliffe has to let go of his dream, of his life’s work, in order to save Fitz or someone else big…though considering the situation it would need to be Fitz.
Fitz/Radcliffe now remind me of Jim/Silver Treasure Planet (if you haven’t seen it go find it…one of Disney’s most underrated movies ever and an all time favorite based on Treasure island)…..someone fic that!
Radcliffe has used Fitz, manipulated him emotionally, forged a bond that is partly for show partly real, and when the time came he used that to enact his plan. Now that he’s failed, he still has that in with Fitz and can still exploit it. Fitz will find out the truth and become a threat/foil to Radcliffe and his plans. The writers would be fools not to give us a full on confrontation between Fitz and Radcliffe. So for Radcliffe to get redeemed it will come down to him doing the right thing when he has too. That terrible awful is going down and he has to choose between his life work/dream and Fitz, he can only save one. Right now…I don’t know if he’d choose Fitz.
Again we will just have to wait and see how far Radcliffe will go and how close he really is to Fitz.
The Fallout for Fitz
I think Fitz will have more guilt than anything. We saw it in Sees when Donnie manipulated him into fixing the power problem…what Radcliffe has done is so much worse and so much more personal.
He will be hurt by the betrayal of someone else he was close too/trusted in a level we haven’t seen since Ward.
And while Fitz won’t be out for revenge, he will want to make it right and stop Radcliffe. This is my fault and I need to be part of the solution kind of thing. I would personally love if he someone used AIDA 1.0 to stop Radcliffe and AIDA 2.0.
Jemma will also be interesting, we don’t really know how she’s feels about Radcliffe. She recognizes he’s brilliant but we don’t know how she feels about him on a personal level. She didn’t like him in the finale…and all bets are off when he hurts her man. Woman on fire is still very much on the table. Radcliffe could still need Fitz’s expertise for the next phase of his plans and could take him at any point now either needing his help or needing him out the way. I feel the bigger danger for that will be when Radcliffe does finally get his hands on the book again…or if his patience grows thin. Worse the lose Fitz to the Superior…if that is going to happen it will be around 14.
Okay I think it got them all! Radcliffe is going to be a puzzle we have to figure out all season. And something that is now very much on the table is The Superior = Scientist Supreme I have been rattling on about for months now. And if so is Radcliffe The Superior? Affiliated with him?
As sad as I am that Radcliffe is a baddie I am super excited to see it. Its going to hurt but this the potential to be an amazing story. John and Mallory are already killing it and Iain will absolutely end us with feels.
Let me know if I missed anything.
